Great Vegas Beer Festival Has Record Turnout

Vegas Beer FestivalThe annual Great Vegas Beer Festival was held yesterday and saw over 5,000 thirsty drinkers descend on downtown Las Vegas to try one of the many craft beers on display at the event.  Featuring over 400 different types of beer from 100 different breweries, the festival was a smashing success and is one of the more popular food events held each year in the city.

Held on Fremont St. over three blocks, the festival ran from 3pm-7pm with early entry at 2pm for VIP ticket holders and other media invitees.  The event had a mix of great beers, food, live music and demos from local chefs making beer-centric cuisine for guests at the festival.

The Gastropub section of the event featured 15 local restaurants that served up tons of different foods – present were local haunts like O-Face Donuts and Stack Restaurant.

Some of the other major draws at the festival included a Cigar Lounge, cider and wine stands, a silent disco by House of Blues and a human arcade by Zappos.  The human arcade was a pretty cool addition and features life sized board games from Chess to Checkers that use people as a part of the games.

The silent disco was another awesome part of the show, which is when people bring their own headphones and dance around to their own music – a strange concept but it’s actually pretty fun when you’ve had 6 or 12 beers beforehand.

The event was hosted by Motley Breweries and we’re told that the 2016 Festival will be even bigger and better although no date has been announced yet considering the festival just ended yesterday.  We’ll keep you posted on any dates for next year as they come in – cheers!
