Giada’s Las Vegas Restaurant Review

Giada's Restaurent

Opened in 2014 and the first restaurant for Giada De Laurentiis, Giada’s is located inside the Cromwell hotel on the Las Vegas strip and offers a modern take on traditional Italian food.  Since its inception just over 2 years ago, Giada’s has become a favourite for visiting foodies looking for an upscale restaurant offering delectable Italian fare right in the middle of the action.  The restaurant has an extensive menu catering to different tastes including family style dishes, Vegan and Gluten free and is frequently updated to incorporate new ingredients for diners.

Dining Options, Menus & Featured Dishes

There are a ton of different options when it comes to food at Giada’s and there are currently 7 different menus to choose from including Breakfast & Lunch, Brunch, Brunch Tasting Menu, Dinner, Dinner Tasting Menu, Dessert as well as in-room Dining for guests at the Cromwell.  The main diner menu has dishes ranging from $9 on the low end up to $58 at the high end entrees.

The Dinner tasting menu includes a 4 course meal with sides and dessert and while no price is currently listed, we’d imagine it’s in the $100 range per person without wine, which can be paired with the menu upon request.  In addition to the dinner tasting, Giada’s also recently launched a Brunch Tasting menu for $45 which includes an Antipasti platter as well as a choice of two dishes from a list of 6 total.

Our recommendations when we visited are the Burrata with cabernet salt, caper pesto & lemon zest for $13 which was excellent and very under priced in our opinion for the quality.  Another favourite was the Ravioli lobster, green asparagus tips & tarragon for $36 which was also a superb dish full of bold and intense flavours with delicious homemade pasta.

One tip when dining at Giada’s is to try and get a seat in the main dining room versus the bar.  Although we loved the food and the ambience is excellent in the restaurant, most of the bar staff seemed relatively unprofessional gabbing about their personal lives throughout the whole dinner.  For this reason, we’d recommend sitting in the main dining room so you get the more experienced and professional wait staff rather than sitting at the bar.
