Aria Las Vegas Hotel Review 2018

The Aria hotel and casino is a luxury resort in Las Vegas owned by the MGM group and part of the City Center development.  The hotel includes two towers and has a total of 4,004 guest rooms including 8 standard room types as well as 5 Sky Suites that are available exclusively to invited guests at the property.

Located by the center of the strip, the Aria is an excellent choice for visitors looking for an upscale property that boasts all of the amenities you’d expect from a luxury Vegas hotel. Some of these include a 150,000 sq ft casino, 15 restaurants, 5 bars and nightclubs, a 215,000 sq ft pool, shopping, spas and a whole lot more.  Below we’ve provided an in-depth overview of everything you need to know about The Aria Resort as well as some excellent rates that are exclusively available from us.

The Room & Suite Selection

One big positive when it comes to Aria is that they have a pretty wide ranging selection of rooms including 13 variations in addition to their Sky Villas.  Average room rates at the property are between $150-$200 for weekdays and can go up to $300+/night a weekend depending on the time of the year.  Below is an overview of all the different room types that you’ll currently find at The Aria Resort & Casino:

Deluxe Room – the Deluxe Room comes in two options including standard and city (strip) view which is slightly more expensive. The room is around 520 sq ft and includes 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom and a panoramic corner view with beautiful views of the city.

Corner Suite – the Corner Suite is 920 sq ft and features 1 bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms, as well as floor to ceiling panoramic windows, a living room and a seating area.

Crystals Suite – the Crystals Suite is 1,000 sq ft and has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom, with a separate living room and seating area and looks over the Crystal Shops at Aria.

Center Suite – the Center Suite measures 1,075 sq ft and includes 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with separate living room and seating area, and is nestled between both towers for an excellent view.

Cirrus Suite – the Cirrus suite is 1,500 sq ft and includes 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom with separate living room, seating area and dining room with a full wet bar.

Tower Suite – the Tower Suite is 1,000 sq ft and includes 1 bedroom and 1.5 bathrooms as well as separate living room and seating area, with the special feature of an open-air whirlpool tub in the master bedroom.

Executive Hospitality Suite – the Executive Hospitality Suite is 2,000 sq ft and includes 1 bedroom, 1.5 bathrooms as well as a separate living room and 12 person boardroom for meetings.

Aria Sky Suites – the Aria Sky Suites offer both a 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom version and range from 1,050 to 1,630 sq ft and include living rooms, a dining room and a fully stocked bar.

Penthouse Suite – the Penthouse Suites at Aria are available in both a 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom version and range in size from 1,465-2,060 sq ft. All penthouses include separate living and dining areas, wet bar and access to concierge/butler services available through phone or the in-room technology.

Aria Sky Villas – The top of the line rooms at Aria, the Sky Villas range from 2,000-7,000 sq ft and can include a range of amenities such as a private sauna, workout room, separate kitchen, spiral staircase and much more.

The Restaurant Options

Aria Café – the café at Aria is open 24 hours and is the largest restaurant on the strip featuring a diverse range of upscale diner style cuisine such as omelets, sandwiches, burgers and more. Aria Café is located on the casino level next to the guest room elevators.

Bardot Brasserie – this is Michael Mina’s new Brasserie inside Aria and serves a mix of traditional French bar cuisine with some modern twists. The restaurant is open from 5-10:30pm daily for dinner and also offers a brunch open from 10:00am to 2:30pm on both Saturday and Sunday. Bardot is located on the promenade level close to the Cirque De Soleil Zarkana theatre.

Bar Masa – A modern Japanese restaurant that’s open from 5-11pm daily and boasts some of the freshest seafood in the world, with Chef Masa Takayama not allowing any of the tuna to be out of water more than 24 hours before it’s served to customers. The restaurant also offers a $49 early dinner menu and is located on the casino level near the main hotel registration.

Blossom – the only authentic Chinese restaurant in the hotel, Blossom serves up traditional Chinese dishes from 5:30-11:30pm daily. The restaurant offers an early dinner menu for $49 as well as signature tasting menu for $79 and can be found on the casino level next to the Baccarat salon (big surprise!).

The Buffet – as the name suggests this is the buffet inside Aria and features over 11 different food stations with lots of different cuisines. Pricing for the buffet ranges from $19.99 for breakfast up to $39.99 for gourmet dinners on Friday and Saturday. You can find The Buffet on the promenade level near to the Zarkana theatre and it’s open from 7am to 10:00pm each and every day.

Five50 – a casual pizza bar operated by Chef Shawn McClain that offers Shakes and Floats, small dishes as well as a wide selection of delicious pizzas ranging from $22 to $28. Five50 is located on the casino level and is next to the Sportsbook and Racebook and is open from 11am to midnight every day.

Javier’s – offering authentic Mexican cuisine and hand shaken Margaritas (is there another way?) Javier’s is open from 11:30am to Midnight daily. Located on the casino level near the Deuce Lounge, the restaurant offers three different menus including a lunch, dinner and bar menu for customers.

Jean Georges Steakhouse – the premier steak and seafood restaurant in Aria, Jean Georges serves up all the classics from 5:00-10:30pm daily. The restaurant offers up a $69 early dining menu, a $125 tasting menu and the a la carte prices for steaks range from $58 to $109 per dish. You can find Jean Georges Steakhouse on the promenade level close to the Zarkana theatre.

Jean Phillipe Patisserie – a classic French Bakery serving up various baked goods and premium coffees, open from 6:00am to 1:00am daily and located on the casino level next to the guest room elevators.

Julian Serrano Tapas – this beautiful tapas restaurant serves up modern Spanish cuisine from 11:30am to 11:00pm daily and features three menus including tapas, $39 early dinner menu and a happy hour menu with some of the most popular dishes from the restaurant. You can find Julian Serrano on the casino level near to the main guest registration desk.

Lemongrass – this restaurant serves up authentic and classic Thai cuisine and is open from 11:00am to 2:00am daily located on the casino level by the Baccarat salon. Lemongrass offers an a la carte menu, a $39 early evening menu and a tasting menu for $59 per person including tons of traditional dishes.

The Roasted Bean – a typical coffee and bakery shop that’s located on the casino level near the self parking entrance and is open from 6:00am to 10:00pm daily.

Sage – another option for fine diners at Aria, Sage by Shawn McClain offers up artisanal American cuisine from 5-11pm daily near the main registration area. The menu includes a ton of options like a la carte, an $89 signature tasting menu, a $59 early dinner menu, as well as a Chefs, vegetarian and vegan tasting menu.

Starbucks – serves up coffee and a selection of snacks from 5:00am to 10:00pm daily on the promenade level near the guest elevators.

Tetsu Teppan Grill – a traditional Teppan grill concept where the chefs do most of the cooking at your table, Tetsu is open daily from 5-11pm and is located inside Bar Masa near the main registration. The menu includes both a seasonal tasting option as well as an a la carte menu.

Drinking and Gambling

Alibi Cocktail Lounge – Located on the casino floor and open 24 hours a day, Alibi serves custom creative cocktails in an upscale environment.

Baccarat Lounge – located at the edge of the Baccarat Salon, the lounge serves cocktails in a private atmosphere and is open from 12pm to 12am daily.

Lift Bar – located next to the casino floor by the guest elevators, Lift Bar features cocktails and live music 24 hours a day.

Lobby Bar – located on the casino level near the main entrance, the lobby bar has an eclectic mix of cocktails and also offers small plates of snacks for guests from 10:00am to 2:00am.

Pool Bar – As the name suggests this is where you get drinks by the pool, it’s located on the promenade level inside the pools and is daily during pool season from 9:00am to 7:00pm.

Sports Bar – located on the casino floor next to Five50, the sports bar is a casual place to grab a drink right in the middle of the action, it’s open 24 hours a day.

The Aria Casino – the casino inside Aria is comprised of over 150,000 sq ft of gaming floors and includes a full casino, high limit room, sportsbook and poker room. Some of the best features of the Aria Casino include all 3/2 Blackjack tables (rare these days) and an excellent selection of thousands of slot machine games.  The poker room features 25 tables and also hosts some of the highest limit games in the city inside Ivey’s room.

Limits for slot games range from penny slots all the way up to $5,000 per spin the high roller rooms. For most table games on the casino floor, limits range from $25 up to $10,000 per hand depending on the game type and your status at the casino.

The casino offers a loyalty program which is part of the overall MGM loyalty scheme called MLife. It’s free to become an MLife member and this allows you earn points when you play slots or table games which can be used towards different perks including free rooms, dining credits and much more.

Other Amenities & Things To Do

Shopping – those shopaholics out there will be happy to know that Aria has 500,000 sq ft of retail space featuring some of the most prestigious brands from around the world. The Crystal shops is a massive mall that’s part of the hotel and includes designers like Prada, Louis Vuitton and Tom Ford. All of the stores in the mall are open from 10:00am to 11:00pm each day.

Shows – Aria is home to Zarkana which is a Cirque De Soleil production that’s exclusive to the hotel. The show is 90 minutes long and runs Tuesday to Saturday at varying times. Ticket prices range from $69 up to $180 per person for front row seats, and we advise booking in advance as it sells out quite often.

The Spa – the Spa and Salon at Aria is open from 5am to 8pm daily and features hundreds of different treatments from facials to massages and day packages. You can access the spa pool and facilities for $30 per day if you don’t want to book a treatment. Massages run from $180 up to $370 depending on the massage selected and length of time for the treatment.

Pools – the hotel offers 3 separate pools with cabanas and is open from 9am to 5pm each day. Located on the promenade level, the pool accepts chair rentals as well as cabanas and serves food and drinks.
