Las Vegas Days Rodeo Invites All Cowboys Out There!

Las Vegas Days is a popular annual cowboy-themed event that is celebrated in Las Vegas. Formerly known as Helldorado Days, this festivity pays tribute to the Wild West and all the popular cowboys that were an inseparable part of this era. One of the most important events will be a rodeo, which will happen over the course of two days in the new Core Arena. The event will take place on May 10 and 11, which is the time when Helldorado Parade will take place as well. The event also has sponsors, including Las Vegas Continental and Plaza Hotel and Casino. Therefore, the entire event will be free for visitors, so make sure to hurry up to Las Vegas and don’t miss this spectacle.

The thing with this event is that it has been going on for 85 years straight. In fact, it has become one of the events that are an inseparable part of the tradition of Las Vegas. Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association will make sure that all rodeos are in order and will oversee the entire event. Rodeos will take place on Friday and Saturday from 5 to 7 pm on May 10 and 11. The rodeo will include a couple of activities which are usually related to the Wild West and cowboys. Apart from the traditional bull riding, visitors will have an opportunity to enjoy team roping, tie-down roping, barrel racing, steer wrestling, bareback riding, and saddle bronc riding. The best thing about these competitions is the prizes that will be given to the best competitors. A $40,000 prize pool is available, and the winners will take the biggest part of it. Furthermore, there are a couple of additional prizes prepared for the champions, including custom belt buckles.

George Taylor is the PRCA Chief Executive Officer, and he stated that it was great to see the Las Vegas Rodeo turn 85 in 2019. He added that they were happy to welcome Las Vegas Days to the PRCA’s fold once again.

About the Parade

Every community member who wishes to take part at the Helldorado Parade can do that at no charge by submitting entries. All schools, car clubs, civic groups, nonprofits, equestrian groups, local businesses — all are welcome to join this magnificent parade that will turn Las Vegas into the Wild West for two days. The parade will start on Saturday, May 11 at 10 am. It will start on Fourth Street and the participants will walk from Gass to Stewart avenues. The best thing about the parade is that professional judges will award the best entry, best theme, most creative theme, best float, best car club or motor vehicle, best equestrian entry, and even the best walking group. In other words, there will be prizes galore, but fun is what comes first during this parade.

The theme of every entry should somehow relate to the heritage of the Wild West. Furthermore, they can also relate to the birthday of Las Vegas and the Helldorado Days tradition. If you want to take part in the parade, you need to submit your application by April 19.

As we already mentioned, the parade will be free of charge, and high school marching bands who decide to take part in the parade will receive $1,000 for participating. Furthermore, high school groups that decide to build and enter a float which is themed on the western heritage or Las Vegas birthday will get $1,500. All schools will be limited to two entries per school.
