Strip Club Chain Launches Online Casino in NJ
Popular strip club chain Scores has launched a new online casino in New Jersey.
New Jersey is known as one of only three states that offers online gambling in the United States and is easily the top state when it comes to casino and poker offerings. Players who enjoy casino and poker games can log online when in the state to enjoy popular slot games, table games and more from a desktop or mobile device. Players are used to seeing top operators like 888, WSOP, Borgata, Golden Nugget, etc., offering online gaming options. However, a new business is now in the mix, as a popular strip club chain tries to get in on the iGaming action.
Scores is a popular strip club chain that has decided to try and enter the online casino market of New Jersey. The brand of course caters to young men and will offer real money online gambling via their new site scorescasino.com. The new online casino operates under the gambling license of Borgata and uses the gaming software provided by Pala Casino. Pala already operates in New Jersey so it was easy to begin working with Scores.
As far as gaming is concerned, players will find the same great Pala options. Scores Casino will operate the same but will include a unique look and Scores branding. Real money games on offer include slots, bingo, blackjack, video poker, craps and roulette. Players can enjoy the new casino via desktop or mobile with iOS and Android capabilities.
Poker is not on offer as of yet. Pala just recently launched a poker platform that is a standalone option and operates aside from Bortaga.
Now you may be wondering why Scores decided to get in on online gambling action when they are a strip club brand. Visitors to Atlantic City are accustomed to the Scores bran as there was a club located in the Trump Taj Mahal at one time. The flagship club is located in Manhattan which is close to New Jersey, so the brand is well-known.
Scores obviously knows that their clientele use disposable income to enjoy the entertainment they provide so they are simply trying to tap into their demographic with online casino gaming as well. This will be the first time that a non-gaming brand attempts to launch an online gaming site in the state so it will definitely be interested to see how the company fares.
Is the Market Becoming Too Saturated?
With the launch of the Scores online casino, many are asking the question as to if the market is becoming too saturated in New Jersey. Will the market expand with the new Scores offering or will the site be cannibalizing on existing revenues? As far as online gambling is concerned in New Jersey, a 30% increase is taking place when looking at year over year totals. Yet this increase cannot continue forever.
The Golden Nugget is currently the top online operator having taken over the top spot from the Borgata, which had held the title for some time. MGM now owns 100% of the Borgata brand and has shown interest in regaining the top spot. An online casino with the MGM brand is set to be launched later on this year.
So now we will just have to wait and see how successful the Scores casino site is and if MGM will be able to reclaim the top spot as number on operator via the Borgata gaming license once they launch their online casino site.
