Respin Games to launch an in-venue mobile games solution for players.
For months now, we have been reporting on the many casinos across the United States that are beginning to offer some form of mobile gaming. Many casino operators are partnering with software development companies to create online loyalty programs that can be used on site as well as from home. Mobile applications can be used to play games, make dinner reservations, find promotions, etc. depending on the property. Respin Games is a subsidiary of Nektan operating in the United States, that has now been able to secure their very first major contract to offer their real money in-venue mobile gaming solution to a casino operator in the states.
First Major Contract
Respin will be working with a major gaming provider in California that remains to be named, by providing their Rapid Games solution. Rapid Games is the first and only independently certified Class II in-resort mobile platform of the casino gaming industry. The platform fits into the Protected Tribal Gaming Category and is a Bring Your Own Device module that will be launched by a Tier-1 casino operated in the US. The operator is unnamed but we do know they operate in both commercial and tribal markets.
Respin has received five signed Letters of Intent from multiple states where they will see their Rapid Games platform launched. There are also other interested parties that would like to become involved as well. With mobile gaming becoming a preference of players, it will not be surprising to see Respin signing several contracts in the near future to provide such technology to casino operators.
The new platform will need to complete third party certification before it can offer Class III games. This would include traditional casino slot options. The application will also include a unique machine count tracking technology that will work to manage the numbers of games offered in-play. The tracking will take place based on the game class.
Operating in New Jersey and Beyond
The team at Respin has already integrated the Class III Remote Gaming System of Spin Games and serves a large collection of third party content that has proved to be quite successful in the online gaming market of New Jersey. The diverse portfolio of games will help the existing gaming library to be even more successful and will provide operators in Class II and Class III groupings to have quality content for mobile game play.
Respin CEO Daniel DeWaal commented on the new platform by stating that it is fantastic to see the platform hit the ground with a prestigious casino partner in the United States. This helps to give confidence to other interested parties also located in the United States. Other operators will be able to see that Rapid Games is the way to attract the younger generation and increase player engagement.
DeWaal pointed out the millennial generation which is a group that casinos must learn to cater to as well as the incoming generations. Young people love technology and having the ability to use their mobile device while at the casino is a plus. This is why apps of this nature work, because young people are willing to give them a try.
Nektan CEO Leigh Nissim also commented on the new contract by stating that they are pleased to have signed with a top casino operator in the United States and the signing shows the quality and uniqueness of the mobile in-venue casino solutions the company can provide. The company looks forward to updating shareholders as they make significant progress this year.
