Summary: The NJCOOP starts soon, offering players in New Jersey the ability to compete in tournament action with massive value and incentives.
In New Jersey, one of the most popular online poker sites on offer is provided by online poker giant PokerStars. The highly recognizable brand provides poker fans with cash gaming and tournament action, along with special online events. One of the most anticipated series that the brand provides gamers in New Jersey is the New Jersey Championship of Online Poker (NJCOOP). This series offers several events and provides massive value to participants. New details of the upcoming series emerged this week, including information on the number of events to take place along with Platinum Pass incentives.
NJCOOP Kicks Off September 29th
The next NJCOOP will begin on September 29th and continue through October 15th. The series will include 47 events with $1.5 million in prize money up for grabs, guaranteed. During the series, players will find tournaments with buy-ins ranging from $25 to $1,000. The schedule includes events for every player, including Pot Limit Omaha, mixed games and No Limit Hold’em.
Players will find several top events on the schedule including the Main Event and High Roller options. the Main Event has a buy-in of $500 and will guarantee $150,000 in prize money. The NL Hold’em High Roller event is another anticipated tournament on the schedule, with a $1,000 buy-in and a $50,000 guarantee.
Players can choose to buy-in directly to each event or try to earn their seat for a lower buy-in by taking part in an online satellite. Players will find traditional satellite options as well as special edition $4 Spin & Go’s. The Spin & Go’s are offering players seats to the Main Event, so players who earn a spot via the satellite will pay much less than the $500 buy-in to participate.
On top of satellites, PokerStars NJ is also providing freerolls. Players who bust out of a NJCOOP event, without earning a payday will be provided a ticket to a Second Chance Freeroll. The freeroll event will include prizes such as tickets to events of the NJCOOP and satellites for the series.
PokerStars is also offering a $10K Main Event Depositor freeroll. This event is open to players who deposit $50 or more by October 13th. The code NJCOOP needs to be used to access the deal. The top 20 of the freeroll will earn an entry to the Main Event.
PokerStars has plans to host a massive event in January, titled the PokerStars Players Championship in the Bahamas. This event will be the largest ever offered by the poker brand and to allow players to attend, the brand has been giving away Platinum Passes to the tournament. During the NJCOOP, there will be three passes up for grabs.
The first pass will be given to the winner of the $86 Moneymaker Tour Event. This tournament takes place on September 30th. On October 16th, the Main Event Entrants All-in Shootout takes place. The winner of this event will earn a pass as well. On the same day, the Entrants All-in Shootout takes place, with the winner earning a Platinum Pass.
Players can check out the full schedule now for the upcoming New Jersey Championship of Online Poker. By reviewing events, players can decide which events they will be buying in to directly as well as determining any satellites they wish to take part in. The turnout for the NJCOOP should be quite large and it would not be surprising to see the $1.5 million in guaranteed prize money easily surpassed.
