Las Vegas Hilton Properties Offering Free Rooms for Healthcare Workers

DoubleTree by Hilton in Las VegasHilton Properties has just joined the growing list of hotel properties who are offering up free rooms as a way to support healthcare workers during the coronavirus pandemic.

Numerous Hilton properties are participating in the new initiative, with over 10 locations in Las Vegas opening their doors to medical personnel across the valley.

According to a statement made by the company Monday night, they will be providing nearly one million hotel room nights throughout the U.S. for the brave men and women in the healthcare field who put their lives on the line every day fighting COVID-19.

“By donating rooms to frontline workers, we hope (these heroes) can rest, stay strong and protect (their families) from potential exposure,” the statement explains.

Growing List of Hotel Chains Offering Free Rooms

Hilton Properties now joins an increasing list of hotel properties who are playing their part to support our country’s healthcare workers during this time of need.

Other major hotel chains who have pledged similar initiatives include Marriott International, Diamond Resorts, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, and Choice Hotels International.

The American Hotel and Lodging Association (AHLA) recently created a similar new nationwide initiative called “Hospitality for Hope” and have seen more than 15,000 hotels sign up. The program also matches healthcare and emergency frontline workers with comped stays at participating hotel properties.

Best Western also announced on Monday that they’ve launched a “support package” aimed to help frontline workers. The chain will be offering 10 perfect off to essential workers, this includes healthcare personnel, emergency first responders and transportation workers at participating properties across the U.S.

Professionalism Driving Healthcare Workers During This Pandemic

While handling sick patients is something aspiring healthcare workers know they’re signing up for when they enter the medical field, dealing with a major pandemic on a global scale like COVID-19 is something you don’t anticipate running into until you’re faced with it.

So, what’s driving these medical workers to fight on the front line of COVID-19? In many major cities, like New York City, hospitals and healthcare facilities are overwhelmed with patients, but medical supplies are low.

The answer to their dedication to the fight, despite the constant challenges they’re facing, is professionalism. The very nature of their professionalism prioritizes the interests of their patients and public health over their own.

These are the men and women who need the most support and care during this challenging time because support and care is something they courageously and graciously give.

We applaud the hospitality industry for providing our health heroes with a comfortable and safe space to rest their head at night, before having to go back into the battlegrounds the very next day again.
