Greektown Casino HotelGreektown Casino-Hotel has announced a new mobile application for patrons.

Mobile technology is taking over the world. Gone are the days when homes have land lines and consumers use a desktop to go online. For the majority of the world, technology has slimmed down to a handheld version, the mobile device. From mobile smartphones to tablets, consumers are using mobile tech to do everything from go online to communication and even playing their favorite casino games. Many gaming venues in the United States are introducing mobile applications to appeal to the new generation of visitors. The most recent venue to launch a mobile application is the Greektown Casino-Hotel.

JACK Entertainment owned, the Greektown venue is located in Detroit and has launched two new forms of technology, the Greektown Mobile App and the GT Connect. Both innovative products will help to simplify the experience of guests of the property. Guests will have the opportunity to earn rewards, request valet vehicles, look at promotions of the property, pay for dining and so much more.

Players will be connecting their Virtual Players Card to a smartphone device to have access to everything Greektown is providing. JACK Entertainment Chief Innovation Officer and Senior Vice President of Operations, Brian Eby, commented on the new technology by stating that the new products demonstrate the company’s commitment to improving the guest experience. The modern advances provide guests with a technological solution to simplify their participation with the loyalty program by providing a convenient way to connect with Greektown and earn as well as manage the GT Rewards.

The new technology removes the need to carry around a physical reward card. Because consumers always have a mobile device on hand, it makes it easy to use the GT Connect technology instead. A USB port is installed on the slot machines and can be used as the app is connected to the virtual player’s card. When connected, guests can earn rewards while charging their device. Players can also download bonus play options.

With the Greektown Mobile Application, guests of the property can use their smartphone for any transaction on the property that uses the loyalty program. Guests just simply scan the app at table games, the rewards desk, kiosks for promotions and even in the parking garage. Comps for meals can also be used for dining or beverage with the app.

Along with offering virtual player card options, the application will allow players to see their account information which includes comp info, promotions, offers, free play points, etc. Hotel operators can also be connected to so that any requests can be made such as reservation for a room or restaurant. Secure a vehicle from valet no matter the drop off point by scanning the ticket number or entering the number into a smartphone device. You can even use the app to find your favorite game on the gaming floor!

New Enhancements for the Greektown Property

The new GT Connect and mobile application are part of enhancements to take place on site with the new property renovation which cost $70 million. The Greektown took time to focus on technological modernization since consumers want to see updated gaming systems and new tech options. The new player rewards program is already being enjoyed along with promotional kiosks, machines for ticket redemption and more.
