Casino goers in Oklahoma will not have to wait much longer for a new gaming experience. The Comanche War Pony Casino is scheduled to open a week from Saturday. It will be the first new casino opened by Comanche Nation Entertainment in over a decade.

The new casino is located in Devol, OK, and will feature hundreds of new gaming machines. Comanche Nation Entertainment also owns several other casinos throughout the state. This is the first of two casinos that they plan to open this year.

A grand opening ceremony for the new casino will be held on Saturday, March 19th. The event will take place on the casino floor and will be catered. As part of the event, a Cedar ceremony will be held. The CEO of Comanche Nation Entertainment, Mia Tahdooahnippah, will also be on hand and plans to give a speech.

Details of the Comanche War Pony Casino’s Grand Opening

The Comanche War Pony Casino is located near the Comanche Travel Plaza in Devol, OK. When it opens next weekend, it will be the first new casino opened by the Comanche Nation in 14 years. As a result, it warrants a special celebration to mark the occasion. The festivities will start at 10 am with a Cedar ceremony followed by a prayer and blessing.

After the ceremony and blessings are completed, Comanche Nation Entertainment CEO Mia Tahdooahnippah will give the opening remarks. Finally, there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony on the gaming floor. The proceedings are expected to last approximately 1 hour.

What Games Will Be Available at the Comanche War Pony Casino?

Like the Comanche War Pony Casino, the new casino in Cache is expected to have 250 gaming machines. It will also have a restaurant on-site and 17,000 square feet of gaming space.  It will be located less than an hour away from the casino in Devol.

Once both the new casinos are opened, Comanche Nation Entertainment will have a total of six casinos in Oklahoma. In Devol, where the War Pony Casino is opening, they already have the Comanche Red River Hotel Casino. The tribe operates the Comanche Nation Casino in Lawton, OK. They also run the Comanche Spur Casino and Comanche Star Casino.
