This week, the State Gaming Control Board released a report detailing the earnings of different casinos around the state. This report revealed that gaming revenue in Pennsylvania ended up being $9 million more than the month prior. It’s a huge accomplishment and proves that the land-based casino industry here is rapidly improving.
Combined gaming revenue came out to $413 million last month. That represents a staggering 42% increase when compared to May of 2019. The Hollywood Casino at Penn National in Dauphin County managed to bring in the most money last month at $62.9 million.
Online casino gambling seems to be growing more popular in this state. Pennsylvania is one of the few states to regulate internet casinos. Overall, this form of gambling brought in more revenue than any other month this year.

Many analysts expect this property to help to further boost tourism into the city. Many gambling fans around the country are eager to see what such a high price tag can generate. The owners of this new casino-resort are promising something truly special for guests.
More details on Resorts World LV continue to come out ahead of opening day. This week, for example, news broke that this venue will operate with a completely unique cashless wagering system. Hope is that this encourages other casinos in the city to go cashless, as well.
