Boyd Gaming Partners with Miomni for Sports Wagering Online
Boyd Gaming has partnered with Miomni to offer online sports betting and horse race wagering options for those in the state, via mobile gaming.
Individuals who love placing bets on their favorite sports teams or horse racing really do not have many options when it comes to online game play. Sports betting is only legalized in just a handful of states, with Nevada being one of them. Players have been able to visit sports books inside of casinos and place their wagers but not really online, until now. Boyd Gaming has now announced that after partnering with Miomni, they will now be able to offer online wagering for sports and racing events via a mobile application.
Getting to Know the New Application
The application, created by Miomni Gaming, is titled Boyd Gaming’s B Connected Sports & Race app and offers customers of Boyd Gaming the opportunity to wager on any sporting event, from the soccer tournament of Euro 2016 to the Triple Crown. Mike Venner is the CEO of Miomni who stated that the company is thrilled to be able to provide the first mobile sports wagering app in the state of Nevada to include pari-mutuel horse betting. The technology by Miomni will help to introduce the sport of horse racing to an entirely new generation of fans.
Adults 21 years of age or older can access the new application with a smart phone device. A race account needs to be created with Boyd Gaming and once created, players have the opportunity to wager each day on races taking place on the largest tracks in the United States. Players can be located anywhere in the state of Nevada to use the application.
New customers to Boyd Gaming can sign up for a race account at any of the locations in Las Vegas Valley. Players will find locations at the Gold Coast, Sam’s Town, Fremont, Main Street Station, California, Suncoast and the Orleans. Players will need to go to the sportsbook in the venue to be able to sign up for the account. The application can be downloaded via the Android or iOS device.
Landmark Moment for Mobile Gaming in Nevada
Director of Race and Sports for Boyd Gaming in Nevada, Bob Scucci, stated that the new application is a landmark moment for the industry. The customers of Boyd Gaming have embraced the convenience as well as excitement of wagering on sporting events via mobile devices. Today, the company is proud to be the first in the state of Nevada to offer the same level of functionality and flexibility to horse bettors with the B Connected Sports & Race app.
It took over a year for the Miomni company to develop as well as test the application for the customers of Boyd Gaming. The award-winning design team was able to create a simple and intuitive user experience that will enable users to quickly place their wagers, including exotics like Daily Doubles, trifectas and Win/Place/Show bets. Any wager that a player can make at a Nevada sportsbook can be done online now via the new app.
Customers of Boyd Gaming in Nevada have been able to access the app over the last few weeks. Players can wager from home, on the go or even while in Sin City. Las Vegas Dissemination Company works closely with Miomni to provide track coverage, offering the latest races for bettors. LVDC was excited to work with both companies, giving the opportunity to players for online wagering via mobile devices.
There are plans for the application to be updated and will include video. This new option will allow customers to watch races live with replays offered within the application.
