Ready for a quick casino tour of southern and central Wisconsin? Let’s discover what the Ho-Chunk Casinos offer.
Traditional Gaming in Black River Falls
Starting our tour at Ho-Chunk Black River Falls, you’re getting a complete casino here. (You’ll find more than just the slots, if you catch my drift.) The Black River Falls location has your traditional gaming, dining options, promos, entertainment, and even hotel options.
They have over 350 slot machines featuring several of the latest and classic slot machine themes along with denominations ranging from a single penny to $5. They also offer table gaming and bingo.
Ho-Chunk Black River Falls also has three distinct dining options: Black River Bistro, the Buffet, and the Poker Bar. Each comes with their unique flair, quality food, and they even boast grab-and-go options.
As you can see with the limited number of games, Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls is a smaller casino. However, it’s more like a mini-resort with the entertainment and lodging factors coming into play.
Try the Slots at the Madison Location
Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison is one of a plethora of attractions to get excited over when you visit the Madison, Wisconsin, area.
As with the Black River Falls location, Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison also boasts a few hundred slot machines featuring denominations between pennies and $5.
They also have two food and drink options with the Gamers Grill and the Bar. Gamers Grill is the perfect venue to catch a break from the casino gaming and maybe to even witness the Packers game going on if you’re in on the weekend. And if you’re looking for local crafts and cocktails, head over to the bar.
Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison, as you can clearly see, is a small, no-frills casino. At least per its website, you won’t find any on-site lodging or entertainment options. But if you’re one who likes real money slot machines and smaller overall casino atmospheres, Ho-Chunk Madison is where it’s at.
A Convenient Casino in Tomah
Ho-Chunk Gaming Tomah comprises about 100 of your favorite slot machines over their nearly 3,000 square feet of gaming floor.
They quote their gaming floor is “small in size, but big on service.” So, don’t let the size fool you, you’re getting perhaps the highest quality of any casino on the list.
They don’t have any real dining options here. But the Tomah location boasts a fine convenience store. Here, you can stock up on snacks, gas, tobacco, and other gifts. So, if you need a bite, head on over Whitetail Crossing Convenience Store and you will find a convenient array of options.
They also don’t have any lodging options. However, they have listed several hotels within a convenient distance, including the Hampton Inn, Microtel Inn and Suites, Econo Lodge, Super 8, and Best Western, among other familiar names.
Table Game Options in Nekoosa
Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa contains 345 slots, each holding a unique flair. They offer only the latest reel, video, and progressives, ranging from penny bets to $5 denominations. They also offer multi-denomination machines.
You will also find live dealer table gaming at Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa. If blackjack is on your mind, test your skill against the area’s best.
The Bar is the casino’s top dining option, and it comprises your favorite comfort foods. After a hard day of casino gaming, head on over for pizza, burgers, hot dogs, sides, and so much more.
Hotel Mead is the hotel of choice in the area, and it’s right next to the casino. They pride themselves on their excellent service and contemporary amenities including an indoor pool, sauna, fitness center, a bar, and even more than their fair share of on-site restaurants.
They also list several nearby hotels, including America’s Best Value Inn, Motel 6, Cobblestone Hotel and Suites, Econo Lodge, and Sleep Inn and Suites.
As you can probably make out, you’re getting a larger casino among the six Ho-Chunk Gaming locations, along with table gaming. If you’re more into variety, Ho-Chunk Gaming Nekoosa is the way to go.
The Largest of the Ho-Chunk Casinos
Ho-Chunk Gaming Wisconsin Dells is by far the largest of the Ho-Chunk Casinos.
