If you’re in town during the first week in August, Art and Soul on the Fox is an event you will want to check out. It features artists, artisans, food trucks, live entertainment, a KidZone, and more. The event in the past runs from 11 AM to 6 PM on Saturday and from 11 AM to 5 PM on Sunday.
This is a great way to satisfy the art enthusiast in you. You can meet some of the finest local and world-class artists, catch stunning views of the Fox River, go for a walk, and enjoy the local art scene as you learn even more about the culture in Elgin.

As with many historical districts, you will find it on the city’s east side, just east of the Fox River. They have already marked many of these homes as historic places, so you’re in for a real treat if you have a penchant for historical buildings.
If you’re interested, reviewers have stated you only need to look online to find maps and locations of interest. You can’t tour the houses, but who cares?
Treat your eyes to a sight to behold, snap a few photos, and stroll through one of the area’s most historic areas.
